The space

Bring your kayaks or paddle boards to explore our exceptionally warm tidal bay. Rinse off in the outdoor shower overlooking fields and trees. Practice your golf swing on our 4 acre property. Read a book or have an afternoon nap in our bunkie with a view. End the day sitting around the fire pit under a seemingly endless sky.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire property. We are not on the property and guests are given full privacy, self check in and self check out.

Other things to note

Cottage rules:

We want you to have an incredible stay while respecting our family’s property. Please adhere to the following cottage rules:

• Kindly observe the check-in and check-out times.

• Please refrain from sharing the access code with unregistered guests.

• Parties or large gatherings are not permitted.

• Prohibited activities include the use of illegal substances.

• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage.

• No-pets.

Cottage Information:

• Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi network is Starlink, and the password is satcom02

• Television. You’ll find a TV remote on the coffee table. We have a smart TV equipped with streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Feel free to log in to your personal accounts and enjoy your favourite shows. Don’t forget to log out before you leave!

• DVD Player. You’ll find the DVD remote on top of the DVD player. There are many movies to choose from.

• Bose CD player/radio. On top of the fridge, remote is there too. CD’s on rack by the TV.

• Heat Pump/Air conditioning. The remote for the heat pump is on the wall above the TV. To warm the cottage, point the remote at the heat pump by the patio doors and press the power button. It is set for 23 degrees which is usually a good temperature. Please ensure all windows and doors are closed if you are using the heat pump. Please turn off when not needed.

• Drinking Water. We do not drink the tap water. Drinking water is provided in the fridge and in the pantry cupboard in the hallway.

• Fans and Light Switches. Main room ceiling fan (rotary knob in the hallway), Loft bedroom lamp, lights and ceiling fan (slanted wall above the bed), Small bedroom lights (wall switch needs to be on to have lamp and fan work)

• Kitchen Sink. Only dish water, no grease or food waste.

• BBQ. The gauge is not correct.

• Toilet. Only flush toilet paper.

• Outdoor Shower. Enjoy our outdoor shower.

• Bunk house. Not heated. Please leave door unlocked.

• Fire Pit. Check the Nova Scotia burn map daily to ensure fires are permitted in Cumberland County. Paper to start fires is in the pantry cupboard, propane lighters are in the island drawer. Bucket to fill with water is by the bbq. Outdoor water tap is on driveway side of the cottage. Please do not leave fire unattended.

• Using Key Pad Entry. Punch in the four digit code to enter. Once you have entered you can disable the lock by turning the small metal lever to the 3 o’clock position. To lock adjust lever to the 12 o’clock position.

• Garbage/Recycling. Small bins for garbage, and paper are under the sink. Larger recycling bin is beside the fridge. Compost bag for food waste is on the counter. Collection is on Tuesday mornings. See Collection schedule and sorting guide. Place appropriate bags in bin at the end of the driveway. Please do not put any bags outside as animals will make a mess.

Leaving Checklist:

✓ Leave linens on beds

✓ Dirty towels in the bathroom

✓ Turn heat pump and wall heater off

✓ Empty the refrigerator and do the

dishes

✓ Sign out of smart tv streaming apps

✓ Turn all lights and fans off

✓ Windows closed (bunk house too)

✓ Outdoor chairs returned to original locations

✓ Three exterior doors locked
